INTERDISTRICT QUALIFICATION
PART 1
ONLINE LAWS OF THE GAME
The first step to becoming a referee is to gain your Laws of the Game Certificate.
Access the Football Federation Australia (FFA) website and study the Laws of the Game. Once you are confident you know the rules, complete the Online Laws of the Game examination here.
Once you have earned your certificate, download a pdf and send it through to our Secretary at secretary@newcastlefootballreferees.com.au.
Please also retain a copy to bring to your Level 4 Course.

PART 2
LEVEL 4 COURSE
The next step is to attend and pass the Referee Level 4 Course. These courses are run through Northern New South Wales Football. To find the next available level 4 course or any other course of interest click here.
Once you have completed the level 4 course, Northern New South Wales Football will advise our Association and you will be invited to join our Association to begin putting into practice your new skills. We start our training on Monday's in March of 2020 and you will be able to further develop your skills and knowledge with our trainers.
As you progress with our Association, you will be encouraged to broaden your skills and knowledge by doing other courses.

PART 3
DOCUMENTATION TO SUBMIT & REGISTRATION
After completing step 1 and 2, complete both the joining form and the payment information form for the Newcastle Football Referees Association and send them through to our Secretary Paul Keeley, whose email is secretary@newcastlefootballreferees.com.au.
Additionally, you will need to register yourself through the PlayFootball site.
